LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE DO

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathic Medicine is a multi-modal practice that includes areas of conventional medicine such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry but additionally uses natural healing methods such as Nutrition, Medicinal Nutrition, Phytotherapy (herbal remedies), Chinese Methodologies and Homeopathy among others, to treat the source rather than the symptoms. Naturopathy is a holistic system of complementary medicine that treats the mind, body, and soul and views each person as a unique individual requiring unique, personalized treatment.

Dr. Milena Safran

Dr. Milena Safran was born in Moscow, Russia, and immigrated to Israel in 1991 at the age of 22. Milena enrolled first in the Reidman International College for Complementary Medicine and then transferred to the Tsabar College of Natural Medicine, both in Jerusalem, Israel. Completing her course of study Suma Cum Laude and her residency, she was granted her degree as a Doctor of Naturopathy. Milena's doctoral thesis, entitled "Interactions between Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids and Prescription Medications," is now being used as a textbook for future Naturopaths.

For Milena Safran, N.D., trained in the European approach to Naturopathic medicine, nutrition is central to most treatment plans. Every patient is seen as a unique person and treated as such. An individualized holistic plan is developed following an initial hour-and-a-half to two-hour interview and modified as needed as treatment progresses. The plan is then presented to the patient at their next appointment, which usually lasts for about an hour to an hour-and-a-half. Normally, there is another follow-up appointment 2-3 weeks after starting treatment and any further follow-ups are determined on an as-needed basis.
